Seikowave Subsea System Test

The Seikowave Subsea System, 3D Submarine, is a prototype structured light 3D scanner that was designed to operate to a depth of up to 100m. In order to verify its effectiveness Lockheed Martin in cooperation with Chevron tested the Subsea System on December 19th and 20th, 2014, off of the Coast of West Palm Beach, FL. The results were a huge success; scanning at pressures of up to 175 PSI (the equivalent of being 110 meters underwater) the Seikowave Subsea System sustained the same high level scanning provided by the terrestrial 3D scanner.
